Carroll L. Bosse


Carroll L. Bosse, 81, of Worthington, passed away Thursday, May 11, 2023, at Mount Carmel St. Ann's Hospital in Westerville. She was born February 23, 1942, in Prospect, OH, the daughter of the late John N. and Alice E. Dix of Prospect.

Carroll was a 1960 graduate of Prospect High School and afterwards studied at the Columbus Business University where she became a Certified Legal Secretary. She then worked for 45 years as a legal secretary. The final 38 years of which were with the law firm of Tyack, Blackmore, and Liston, L.P.A. She retired in 2008.

On February 8, 1992, she married Maurice "Maury" Bosse. Maury preceded her in death on May 14, 2013. Carroll was an avid OSU Buckeye fan who also enjoyed annual trips to the beach with her late husband. After her retirement, she spent her free time gardening, reading, playing online games, and spending time with her family and friends.

Carroll is survived by her daughter, Jennifer L. Christy of Lewis Center; grandchildren, Darby and Collin Christy; her sister, Evelyn Porter of Dawsonville, GA; her brother, Stephen (Terry) Dix of Chillicothe; nieces, Bethany (Brennan) Lovely, Lindsey (Douglas) Russell; nephews, Chad (Melissa) Porter, Todd (Vina) Porter, Kevin (Addie) Porter; great nieces and nephews, Jacob Porter, Mackenzie Porter, Tenley Porter; Jordan Porter, Hailey Porter, Davis Lovely, Johnson Russell, Kaylynn Russell.

Besides her parents and husband, Carroll was preceded in death by brother-in-law, John F. "Jack" Porter.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Thursday, May 25, 2023, at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3047 E. Dublin Granville Road, Columbus, OH, with Mr. Gary Mohr officiating. Friends may call beginning at 11:00 AM with the service to begin at 11:30 AM.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Carroll's memory may be made to Mount Carmel Palliative Care, Hospice Fund, through the Mount Carmel Foundation at donor.mountcarmelfoundation.org.
