Martha Smith
Martha Smith, 78 of Pharisburg, died Tuesday June 13, 2023 at her home surrounded by her loving family.
She was born September 23, 1944 in Kentucky to the late James and Altie (Welles) Combs. She was also preceded in death by her husband Richard A. Smith, they were married May 31, 1962 and he died November 26, 2017. Also preceding her in death were her son, Danny Rae Smith, siblings, Ervin Combs, Kathleen Overfield, Edna Slone, Alfred Combs and Ruby Slone.
Martha was retired from the Ohio Wesleyan University as a house-keeping supervisor after 35 yrs. of service. Not one to sit still, she went back to work for the State of Ohio as an independent provider. Her family was always at the center of her life. She loved cooking for family gatherings. Martha also liked playing Bingo, poker, and online casino.
Surviving are her children, Lisa Snyder of Caledonia, Richard A. Smith of Marysville and Edna Steberl of Dublin

Great grandchildren, Dameion Smith, Paige Smith, Juliana and Max Jasnikowski, Keira Smith, Colton and Gage Welch, Gabriel and Jordynn Boyd, Kyleah Smith, Hunter and Gunner Tignor.
Brothers, Sterling (Lucy) Combs of Warrensburg and Burt Combs of Marysville
Funeral services will be held Saturday June 17, 2023 at 11 am at the Stofcheck-Ballinger Funeral Home in Richwood. Rose Smith will officiate. Burial will follow in the Raymond Cemetery. Friends may call one hour prior to the service beginning at 10 am at the funeral home in Richwood.
