Connie S. Wilson


Connie S. Wilson, 69 of Richwood, died Monday February 5, 2024 at her home surrounded by her loving family.

She was born September 8, 1954 in Marysville to the late Ernest “Ernie” McElroy and Betty Jane Davis.

Connie was a 1972 graduate of North Union High School. She had worked at the Dairy Queen with her Grandma, Day Lay, B.F. Goodrich in Green Camp and finally retiring from Siemens in Bellefontaine, where she worked for 26 years. Following retirement she worked part time at the Dutch Mill Greenhouse in Marysville.

Connie loved working in her vegetable and flower gardens; she really did have a green thumb. She also took great enjoyment in watching the barn swallows and hummingbirds—it was the little things that made her happy. She especially loved spending time with her grandson, Evan, who was like the son she never had.

Surviving is her husband, Denny Wilson, they were married December 27, 1992 in Nashville, TN.
Also surviving are her children, Jody (Jason) Bennett of Richwood, Willie (Cheri Striker) Wilson of Richwood, Dougie (Sherri) Wilson of Nashua, NH, Wendy (Christi) Wilson of Richwood and Lisa (Todd Hoffman) Wilson of Richwood
Grandchildren, Evan McElroy, Eryn (Jayden Smith) McElroy, Elijah Bennett, Emily Bennett, Blaine (Kelsey) Wilson, Dillon (Morgan Pardo) Wilson, Carlie Wilson, Ty Tanner, Teryn (Richie) Price, Torie (Austin) Terrill, Erick Wilson, Chad (Toni) Wilson and Jarrett (Samantha) Wilson
Numerous great grandchildren and extended family

Funeral Services will be held Saturday February 10, 2024 at 11:00 am at the Stofcheck-Ballinger Funeral Home in Richwood. Pastor Jim Gardner will officate. Burial will follow in the Claibourne Cemetery. Friends may call Friday from 4-7 pm at the funeral home in Richwood.
