Marjorie R. Lauer, 76, of Prospect died unexpectedly Monday, October 31, 2005 at her home. She was born Nov 16, 1928 in Delaware County to the late John E. and Mayme L. (Kirby) Kirk.
She worked at National City Bank and later at the Buckeye Valley Treasurers office. She was an active member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Prospect, where she had taught Sunday school, and was a member of the Katherine Luther Circle. She belonged to the Child Conservation League and was a devoted wife and mother. On May 29, 1948 she married Charles R. Lauer who survives in Prospect. She is also survived by 2 daughters, Linda (Gary) Mohr, Chillicothe, OH and Carol (Dan) Knoch, Hillsdale, MI, 3 sisters, Martha Bell Stiffler, Richwood; Annamary Rawlins, Cardington; Joanne Hosey, Sandusky, 7 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. Funeral Services will be held Friday, November 4, 2005 at 11:00 A.M. in the St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Prospect with Rev. Russell Makant officiating. Burial will be in Prospect Cemetery. Visitation will be held at Gehm-Ballinger Funeral Home, Prospect on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul's Lutheran Church Memorial Fund.
