Ella Marie Gehm, 98, formerly of Prospect, died Monday, November 7, 2005 at Marion Manor. She was born September 9, 1907 in Miami County, OH to the late Ray L. and Minnie L. (Whitmer) Anewalt.
She was a Registered Nurse from 1928 to 1944. Marie was a valuable asset to her husband, Fred who owned and operated Gehm Funeral Home in Prospect until his death in 1972. She was a devoted mother to her two sons. She was a member of the former Zion Church of Christ, Prospect, the Waldo 273 Pythian Sisters, and a charter member of Prospect Senior Citizens. On Oct 18, 1935 she married Fred W. Gehm, who died October 26, 1972. She is survived by a cousin, Jack Anewalt, Kettering, and a niece, Betty Anewalt, Gahanna. She was preceded in death by two sons, John and Paul Joseph Gehm. Graveside Services will be held Friday, November 11, 2005 at 2:30 P.M. in the Prospect Cemetery with Rev. David L.
