Paul was a patriotic American who served his country in WWII. He was stationed in the Pacific on the LCI 701 for the US Navy. He was a member of the Phillipi - Clement American Legion Post 101in LaRue and served as Commander of the post as well as Chaplin during his longtime membership. She was valedictorian of the Pharisburg High School class of 1923 and graduated from Richwood High School in 1924.
