Janet Josephine Swartz, 73, 376 E. Market St., died Thursday morning January 27, 1994 at Marion General Hospital.
She was born Aug. 28, 1920, in LaRue, the daughter of the late Edward Merle and Lena (Johnson) Lingo.
The homemaker was a member of LaRue United Methodist Church, and Mary Lenox Chapter 98 Order of the Eastern Star. On May 25, 1946, she married Lowell "Sonny" Swartz, and he survives.

| Martha Dunnan Sweeney enjoyed singing around the bonfire and yodeling and was known as the “Lone Star Cowgirl” on the radio in Hamilton, Ohio. She was a devoted mother and loved being with her family and friends.
She is survived by a son, John Wayne (Wendy) Sweeney, New Waverly, Indiana; daughter: Sonja (Jerry) Byrd, Warsaw, Indiana, seven grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson.
