Robert J. "Smity" Smith as a retired maintenance worker at the Young Life Southwind Christian Camp in Florida and as a custodian at Elgin South Elementary School. He was a member of the Prospect Senior Citizens and Marion VFW Post 7301.
He was born May 14, 1922, in Marion to the late Clarence D. and Grace I. Brady Smith and was predeceased by three brothers and a grandson, Randy Smith.

Roger A. Smith Roger A. Smith, age 79 of Marion died unexpectedly Wednesday, September 5, 2012 at his home. Â He was born May 28, 1933 in Marion to the late Samuel and Martha (Orth) Smith.
On March 14, 1953 he married the former Mary Jane (King) in Indiana and they lived in Prospect until her death on August 18, 1992. Â In 1994 he married the former Fern Watkins Beidler and she died in 2006. Â He was also preceded in death by five brothers and two sisters.

RICHWOOD-Russell H. Smith, 63, 12169 Landon Road, Richwood, died at 4:40 a.m. Saturday at his home Aug 16, 1986.
He was born May 16, 1923 in Lewis County, Ky., a son of the late Matt and Sarah Clark Smith.
On Jan. 17, 1949, he married the former Norma Nelson. She survives.
Mr. Smith was a World War II veteran and attended the Somersville; Friends Church. He was a construction worker.
